I've been re-reading this manga for like two past days and boy am I pissed?
AM I PISSED?
You lot BET I AM PISSED!!
Somebody invent a fourth dimension motorcar so that I tin can go back to past to inquire myself why the fuck I enjoyed this piece of shit? I want to rip out the volumes and use them as rags to clean the floor.
I dont know where to begin. I used to love this manga to decease! I recall really liking the storyline in the outset. I remember being so excited for each chapter update. The characters were beautiful together and everything was fine and dandy and I wanted to see main character happy.
Theeeeeen, in later chapters suddenly all of the cliché drama popped up. It was but drama after drama afterwards drama. I got so annoyed with it. I decided to drop this manga for a while. Best desicion of my life (regarding to mangas.DUH.)! For a while. Theen all of a sudden I decided to re-read it 'crusade you know, I had nothing to read (lies), I was bored out of mind (probably) and I like torturing myself (definitely).
This is such a cliche manga. When you are reading it you're like 'oh no in that location it is again ... The never ending drama..." -.- Its like a lather opera with one silly or nervus-wracking drama after another. There are times where it makes me wanna falcon dial both of them & some other pretty annoying characters -_-
(I wish I was kidding. I am not. Comport with me.)
Tsubaki aka the unpopular, out of date/onetime fashion styled girl is the main girl. She is shallow, too naive and coward, and has totally no self-esteem. She cant even stand up for herself. She is so unberable she even slides off the the main guy non treating her right in the beginning. She also makes a big deal of basically everything. You just tin't help only feel deplorable for Kyota, as he must be mature enough for both of them (and to remember how he was in the beginning wow, just wow, crawly character development!).
While she shows an occasional courage, she does spend most of her time obsessing over her insecurities and sniveling. I sympathize that she didn't appointment anyone before or that she was feeling insecure merely UGHHH she was doubting him for every picayune thing! She never trusted him instead she ever trusted others. That'south one of the things that bothers me on main female character.
Every bit for male I kinda like how he grows through manga. How he changes for her but he likewise pretty much was in control of their human relationship since he practically has Tsubaki in the palm of his paw so umm, I am non fan of those kinda of mangas or main love interests anymore?
(I Accept A TASTE NOW. Give thanks GOD.)
Plus, he was such a douchebag in the beginning. And the middle. And..well, he kinda changed afterward, I'll requite him that; he actually grows up but in the first this time I was like:
No matter how handsome and gorgeous and smart and charismatic the perpetrator, their relationship started with sexual assail and harassment (the threat/blackmail/forcibly kissing her etc.) Certain, I do like the manga somewhen does pretty good job at turning the bad male child player into a ane-woman boyfriend but aught can justify some of the bad things he has done to her.
To me, it's important that my human respects me as I do him and that we can share everything with each other without feeling insecure well-nigh information technology. I feel that at that place is so little communication between Kyouta and Tsubaki which explains all their misunderstandings. Relationships can of course differ, but I tin can honestly say that I would lose sanity if I ever would get through every bit much drama as this couple.
This whole manga is basically simply Tsubaki doubting herself and Kyouta having to build upwards her self esteem once more. Which causes the manga to repetitive, with just different scenarios.
Hey, at to the lowest degree he grows upward.
Does Tsubaki ever grow up? YES… Only Information technology TAKES Likewise MUCH FUCKING Time. It's just been the last few chapters that I've come to remember of her as anything more a needy puppy. Finally what started out as admittedly repulsive characters have evolved to characters that I can genuinely relate to. I can tell that Tsubaki has grown significantly. She has found a dream, and with the support of those around her, has set her eyes toward that dream. Still, that'south simply for last quarter of the manga (maybe even less). For near of the manga she's your typical naive lovesick-idiot and it's the type of grapheme that I utterly despise (finally, afterward countles of manga volumes I have read.)
Tsubaki is a total idiot, my friends. Giving up well-nigh anything for a guy. Even thought of studying the same that Kyouta was aiming for just so she could follow him everywhere. Too selfless and that'southward BS. She likewise always thinks she'due south the trouble for everything and tries to finish things, it only makes me mad. Women should learn to love themselves first/more loving their BFs.
Plus, I dislike how the author is obsessed with making rape or near rape experiences happen and so have the characters brush the incidences off similar nothing took place.
Hell no! It'south a disgrace to rape victims everywhere since she's giving off the ideal that rape doesn't affect the victim and that the criminal offence isn't such a large deal.
OVERALL;
The kickoff time I read it: OMG the art is beuatiful
Couple of years later on: WTF have I simply re-read?
Some things are better left in the past.
*sigh*
At least, this is bearable compare to Love 10 Honey. Now, that'south what I call pure torture...I'k gonna re-read it anyway crusade I'one thousand me. I like re-reading stuff and realizing how much my taste sucked.

Da fuuu did I just read?In a typical Shojo manga, many heroines tend to think of the beloved interest's behaviour equally sexual harassment and they call them a pervert and what not. They're not really, the heroine is simply shy and pocket-size, not used to a relationship. But in this one THE HERO REALLY IS A F***** Debauchee RAPIST MOLESTER. I was uncomfortable the whole time because Tsubaki was almost raped and constantly getting groped and later she's sitting in her room wondering how she fell in dear with such a horrible guy. And he is horrible.
I'm sure he gets a bit better as the story progresses and starts to fall for her for real, but I can't stomach information technology any longer. Partway through the second book, but I don't call back I can finish it.

There'south no logical reason why he would want her to. It but came out of nowhere - "you lot must pay for my pilus with your body." He doesn't even seem to be that attracted to her at first. Fanservice?? I don't get it?????? At i point he also bought her a apparel maxim she looked good in it, and then later tried to fuck her without her consent (!!) and said he only bought the wearing apparel because information technology was piece of cake to take off (!!!!). Why is this okay? Why was this even published? What the hell? Then a few days later the main graphic symbol walks in on him fucking another girl in some classroom. So anyway, one time he notices her, he stops fucking the other girl and says something forth the lines of, "[main character'due south name] is my woman." No. Fuck you, y'all piece of shit. Who says she'southward yours? Well, basically, Kyouta is merely an all-around asshole. I could list a lot more instances in which he displays his douchebaggery, just those are the primary cases. The biggest thing is that the other characters don't fifty-fifty care that he's such a dick. Why is he popular? Probably considering he has extremely good looks (or is portrayed equally having extremely good looks, anyway). He acts solely and so he tin gain something from it. But... I wish the mangaka could stop and remember about what she's doing. There are so many underlying hints of rape it'southward not fifty-fifty funny. Now onto the heroine... I would say something about her, but I can't really call back her name. She's just such a one-dimensional wimp. Okay, I know that humans accept insecurities. Peradventure she'due south an accurate portrayal of many girls. Only she's so worried about everything and pleasing anybody all the time, and she doesn't stand up for herself at all. It'southward then annoying and virtually more frustrating than Kyouta'due south acts of assholery. Just kidding. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Zilch can exist more frustrating than Kyouta's acts of assholery. Merely for case though, when Kyouta's leaning over her, trying to seduce her or whatever, she just closes her eyes and hopes it will be over soon. What the hell? That'south not a good route. Kick him where it hurts then run like hell. Preferably study him to the police. Maybe you're not good at physical things and you're non good at defending yourself. Put up a fight at least. Testify your readers that, when people put in such positions, they're non supposed to just quietly allow the aggressor do things to them, even if the aggressor is hot, strong, and an asshole. Have I mentioned that Kyouta is an asshole? Simply the main character, fifty-fifty after all this, still ends upwardly liking him! That's my affair. How tin anyone like a guy like this? Even if he is hot and stiff? He'south still an asshole! He tried to rape her! Why does she notwithstanding want him???? Ugh. I just... tin't even. (hibernate spoiler)]
even after he went on a date with the main graphic symbol? asshole can't even continue it in his pants
In fact, she's even sorry that he'due south going to "surrender on making [her] [his] woman."
hold on a second, allow me bang my caput confronting this wall.
This is so damn frustrating. Dysfunctional relationships in a nutshell.

As with all my manga reviews, this is an overview of the entire series and may comprise spoilers of varying degrees equally a outcome. This manga serial, whose Japanese title 今日、恋をはじめます (Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu) translates to "Today, Dearest Begins" (once again, not certain why no 1 always translates these things when it's pretty straightforward...) is a mid 2000s slice-of-life shoujo romance that covers sixteen full volumes, focusing on the love betwixt a straight-laced girl and a popular bad boy.
It's overall pretty standard shoujo romance stuff by an author who, prior to this series, had done several series that were decently successful (though, I would argue they were all worse than this i).
My feelings on this series accept gone effectually in a circumvolve. The first fourth dimension I read information technology years ago equally a immature teenager, I loved it, then when I was a bit older, I saw its flaws and disliked information technology--quite a lot. Simply after my well-nigh contempo read, I discover information technology'southward actually an okay read.
Between my last read and this most contempo 1 (which was done for the purpose of reviewing the whole series, as is my custom, so my memory of everything is fresh and whatsoever misremembering from age/bias is diminished), quite a few years had past, and then, naturally, considering I remember disliking information technology from the last time I dove in, I went into this reread with low expectations. Despite having a general memory of the story, a lot had actually been lost to fourth dimension, which surprised me.
Starting out, this series is a bit rough and its where the majority of its flaws are.
Both the main characters have pretty poor personalities. I tin't say if this was intentional as a means to start them off low and then that their growth would be more pronounced or if it's only bad writing that vanished as the author improved naturally with practice. I'm leaning towards the latter, as afterward just a handful of capacity, both characters worst traits soften considerably or vanish entirely.
Tsubaki starts out as one of those people who is highly judgemental and superior, finding error in everyone around her who isn't like her, yet is too simultaneously cocky-deprecating, envious, and insecure to the betoken of being irritating.
It's very in line with how Not Similar Other Girl or "Choice Me" style characters are; they feel left out and inadequate, commonly are envious of a particular type of person (in Tsubaki'south instance, her popular, pretty little sister and her social butterfly of a all-time friend), so to compensate for failing to be that fashion themselves, they go hard in the other direction, interim like the qualities they practice have are actually the superior qualities to have and that the people who lack these things are the one who are actually inferior.
Although I wouldn't say Tsubaki is your typical Selection Me Daughter, that kind of graphic symbol gives y'all an idea of the contradictory nature of Tsubaki'due south early attitude in the series: she thinks anybody is beneath her for non beingness direct-laced similar she is, nevertheless she has no true cocky-confidence/self-love and constantly bemoans how she wishes she were like other girls and had the things they have.
While I can sympathize with Tsubaki'south social awkwardness, her want for real friendship, and her struggles to fit in with her peers (as I I did personally go through a catamenia where I idea of myself as Non Like Other Girls as a way to attempt to compensate for my insecurities and feelings of inadequacy past elevating myself through the only qualities I had), Tsubaki's characterization doesn't quite nail her superiority complex as... well, as sympathetic.
Rather, she comes off as two-faced and shallow, analytical her peers based on mere observation, while also woefully desiring their credence and admiration.Kyouta, likewise, starts out roughly equally a generic and uninteresting "popular, hot bad boy" who is as well the smartest boy in the schoolhouse and, for the dumbest reason, plays games with girls' feelings--to the point that he'due south well known for it.
The general crux nosotros're given is that Kyouta refuses to settle down and have a serious girlfriend, instead opting to seduce every girl he can then that when/if the girl falls in love with him and confesses serious feelings, he can finish their relationship and break her center.
Why is that? As I said, it's for the dumbest reason.
He refuses to take serious relationships with girls because, I'thou not joking, 2 adult women who he knew when he was a kid (one was a schoolhouse nurse and the other his mom, who only did this because her marriage to Kyouta's father was incredibly abusive) had adulterous affairs in their marriages, which made him believe that all women must be horrible, selfish, barbarous creatures who volition undoubtedly betray, hurt, and abandon the men who love them.
Basically, Kyouta, as a piddling boy, decided to internalize these women's infidelity as a deep expose that he took personally and concluded that, not simply are all women terrible, but that he's fully justified in deliberately seducing and breaking the hearts of unrelated girls before they have a chance to break his, and it's literally all because two people he knew as a child, who happened to be women, cheated on their male partners.
Uh. Yikes.
Information technology's not fifty-fifty washed with all that much nuance or depth. Kyouta... very easily gives upwardly this idea of women existence terrible and unworthy of seriously loving/dating.
Like, afterwards Tsubaki learns about the root of his misogyny and confronts him similar, "Hey, I'm not or your mom or that nurse, then why are you lot taking out your feelings of them towards me and all women who had nothing to do with those incidents?" he literally mulls it over for a few seconds and goes, "Oh, yep, Tsubaki isn't similar my mom or the school nurse who I somehow feel betrayed me personally by beingness unfaithful to their male partners. I tin appointment her and so!"
That's it. That's the end of that character flaw. His growth in that regard is over. There's no epiphany where he realizes he was just taking out his irrational feelings on innocent girls. In that location's no realization he was being really misogynistic. At that place's no grasping that he was lashing out stupidly because he was being a pissbaby about the realization that anyone in any homo relationship he has whom he loves and is vulnerable with may choose to injure/deceive/apply/beguile him...
No, he just, admits Tsubaki is right and proceeds to date her. "Oh, yeah, I know you'd never injure me, Tsubaki." Like bro... your actions up until this point do NOT back up that being a true argument.
Just, I digress.
It'due south also at the very offset that both Tsubaki and Kyouta attack one some other to varying degrees.
Kyouta pulls on Tsubaki'due south hair when she ignores his question (every bit by now she's formed the opinion that he's terrible considering he doesn't come across her straight-lace standards). She cuts his hair in retaliation because she'southward irritated by the fact that it'due south long. He then tries to extort money out of her by threatening to report her for cutting his pilus, merely to then say she doesn't have to pay if she uses her body, insinuating he wants sexual favors. She and so agrees to "employ her body", not understanding what he meant, and cuts more of his hair to finish what she started, giving him a shorter, more conservative mode that she personally finds more bonny. He and so finally grabs her, forces a kiss, and steals her uniform neck ribbon (which bothers her a lot because she is afraid of committing school wearing apparel code violations).
After this point, Kyouta tries to force Tsubaki to accept going on a date with him because he wants to make her the new target of his "go girl to like me and then refuse her when she falls in love with me" game and makes a moves on her sexually (though he stops when she doesn't want to continue) and information technology'southward through their interactions from this signal on that the two of them truly fall in love and beginning a legitimate relationship.
Somehow, I remember this series having more instances of sexual attack as perpetrated by the love involvement, but generally, null that transpires between Kyouta and Tsubaki is what I'd flag as bad or sexual attack. When Kyouta makes an advance on Tsubaki and consent isn't given or is withdrawn, he stops. The exception, of course, is that first kiss that he forced on Tsubaki without her consent.
I remember probably the worst thing Kyouta does in their relationship as a whole is withhold physical affection from Tsubaki when she expresses a desire to not have sex activity with him before matrimony or do anything beyond kissing.
He basically tells her "that is selfish of you to non want to exist more intimate with me; my body'south desires don't operate on your schedule" which is implying that Tsubaki, as a result of kindling his animalism through kissing/hugging/petting, should be willing to satisfy his sexual desires and surrender her desire for celibacy because it's inconvenient for him to become aroused through displays of concrete affection and not find gratification with her when that occurs.
This, of course, is really awful, equally it boils down to Kyouta feeling owed sex from her. His want to be sexually gratified with the aid of her torso/actions isn't more important than her feeling comfortable with what she'due south doing with her body, which isn't okay--no one is owed another person's body, no one is owed sexual practice with another person. Blue-balls are not a real affair and are not a valid reason for trying to force your partner to accept sex by withholding affection.
It does, thankfully, eventually become rectified, with Kyouta expressing a willingness to become at Tsubaki's stride and not pressure her into doing anything she doesn't want to, so I won't harp on information technology as well much, since it's shown equally a obstacle they overcome and are amend for having endured, only I simply wish there had been a bigger emphasis on "me respecting what you want to do with your ain body is more important than the desires I take for your trunk."
To be honest, while the 2 of them say and practise things that aren't always the best choices, they surprisingly are able to overcome them and never cross over that line of no return--there'due south no action that I'd say they are forever condemned over and tin't be forgiven for.
For case, a lot of their conflicts become like this: Tsubaki has a moment of jealousy/insecurity and makes a somewhat unrealistic demand of Kyouta during this. Kyouta, wanting to keep the peace and prove to Tsubaki that she has no reason to worry/doubt/fear, takes some activity to appease that need, despite it existence unrealistic. Tsubaki so realizes she was being childish/insecure/etc., usually afterward witnessing how Kyouta is suffering in some way as a result of her need. She and Kyouta then reconcile after talking over their feelings and reaffirming them, which generally erases Tsubaki'southward previous doubts/jealousies/etc.
That's actually a pretty good delineation of how relationships go, especially new ones that are trying to find their footing. Both Tsubaki and Kyouta aren't super versed in romantic relationships, so I recollect almost of the drama that occurs is to ameliorate showcase how chaotic and uncertain and daunting it can be to handle a romance and residuum the needs and wants of the relationship and 1's partner with i'due south own needs and wants.
To be honest, the affair in this item series that riled me up the well-nigh was the piffling sister saying things like "You aren't satisfying your fellow's sexual appetite? You're the worst. Yous deserve it if he cheats on your or ends the relationship." and I'yard like, that'due south a nasty, toxic mindset to have.
As I said above, no one is "owed" sex in a relationship because sex is something that involves the sharing of one's body and a person's body and what they do with it is purely their ain business concern. Too, it'south super emotionally unhealthy for a girl to feel similar she has to have sex activity or exist sexually attracting in order to continue her partner from betraying her trust by cheating.
That kind of thinking pushes this narrative that girls have this obligation to be super sexually attracting to keep their male partners so interested they don't consider cheating and that if their guy does cheat, it's not that he'due south betraying the girl he promised to be true-blue to when they started dating and beingness dishonorable for breaking his word, it's that she failed to keep his attending and fulfill his needs through sexual activity entreatment and sexual acts.
That's an absolutely sad and horrible fashion to call up because it's not true and likewise even when girls pause down and try to keep a partner by being that style, it seldom actually prevents cheating if their partner was predisposed to cheating to begin with.
Sakura is probably the most toxic grapheme and I have always hated her. She's on the same wavelength equally Akane from Hot Gimmick, Vol. 1, who was an utter deviling and terrible sis for a large office of the story.
As for what Tsubaki and Kyouta ultimately practise and say, I wouldn't peg whatever of it every bit specially problematic or bad. In fact, their desire to communicate ameliorate and figure out their goals and to overcome their own flaws is pretty well depicted.
All in all, the story is actually pretty fun to read and has worthwhile graphic symbol growth. In terms of the story development, ane area I feel wasn't done well is the characters' relationships with their parents (which were made out to be super vital; like, their moms both were massive in the creation of a lot of their personal and human relationship problems). These things weren't explored or utilized beyond existence convenient at the moment when parent conflict was needed, then their resolution was unsatisfying and unwarranted. Mostly, the plot threads were cleanly wrapped up in the easiest, weakest way.
Even so, the series was, overall, meant to exist a fun, like shooting fish in a barrel slice-of-life romance for older teen girls, and I believe it achieved that. Compared to a lot of other series attempting the aforementioned, I have to say that this one performed a lot improve.
Of grade, this is a somewhat rare exception for this author. I believe there are at least three of her other series that are pretty problematic.
As for triggers/warnings about this series: there is an attempted rape past random bad guys, Tsubaki is attacked by 1 of the side characters who was going to assault her simply couldn't go through with it, and Kyouta and Tsubaki take several sex scenes (though they're not graphic, merely a few images of heavy kissing without apparel that doesn't show anything actually).
For me, the art isn't annihilation ugly, but the huge optics and some of the artists stylistic choices just didn't work for me. I think this incarnation of her mode is a lot prettier than what she was doing in before work, which looks quite a bit different, and I appreciate the detail put along in a lot of it, simply ultimately the characters all come up across as looking super similar with girls existence incredibly round/cutesy and all the guys existence weirdly more angular and looking like each other with unlike haircuts/colors.
I'm glad I gave it another read as an adult. Despite this non being an exceptional manga, compared to a lot of what I have read, it performs better in terms of graphic symbol, story, and the letters it wishes to convey about relationships, love, self-prototype, and the time to come.

I read all of Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu in virtually a weekend. Going into this manga I had high hopes however I massively disappointed. Overall I give the entire series 1.v/v stars.I. Art: 4/five Stars.
2. Character Development: i/v Stars.
Iii. Main Character Relationship: one/5 Stars.
IV. Story Line: 1.5/5 Stars.
I personally quite liked the fine art. The art style was gorgeous, the characters were beautifully drawn and I personally feel information technology made, a story I didn't enjoy tolerable… to a certain extent.
The residue however not so bang-up. To start with….
Hibino Tsubaki is the female lead and she is a really ane dimensional graphic symbol. She comes off; almost as a badly done Mary-sue, only more annoying. Tsubaki is written equally this innocent, smart and sugariness girl. The innocence surpasses naivety in the worst way and it never changes. Ever. It was the last volume and she however hopelessly naive.
Sexual practice. If you can't say it you shouldn't be doing it; I was genuinely surprised she knew what condoms were (Safety beginning!). I'1000 not even joking. She researched and planned their first appointment. It never occurred to her to inquiry sex at all. Tsubaki thought sex activity was purely for procreation.(while it technically is that's not how majority uses it) She likewise didn't realise at that place would be any pleasure until her second time. But she slept with him anyhow despite the pain and her wanting to be a virgin until she married all considering her all-time friend told her it would make their relationship more than meaningful. (Non to mention Kyouta (He's the boo) spent the entire time pressuring her into it too. And so did her little sister now that I retrieve on it.)
The entire plot of the manga was driven past her being so insecure with herself that she physically could non communicate, at all to Kyouta. Which consistently lead to bug in their relationship. Something would go wrong, he'd ask her what's incorrect, she would say nix or lie, he'd go annoyed and cease talking to her, she'd freak out and apologise and he'd come dorsum and tell her to talk to him adjacent time; she says she will. She doesn't. Rinse and Echo.
Coming back to the insecure thing, I'm not hating on that I know what it's like but she never grows. She always completely insecure, all of her confidence comes purely from her relationship and when they do the whole break up so she tin find herself and he can heal stint. She only finds herself because her boss forces her besides. The second in that location back together it'southward the aforementioned old story naught changed except Kyouta's pilus got shorter. (Which I liked it, suited him)
Kyouta Tsubaki welllll let's just say me and him got off to a bad start. You know, when he groped and blackmailed Tsubaki in an attempt to make her confess to him then he could dump her. Despite this though he'due south the only grapheme that really adult. If he had been the guy he was in the end of the series or even in the centre of the series, in the beginning and then I would take probably enjoyed his grapheme. The reality is that the crap he pulled on Tsubaki; a 15 year onetime girl who he'southward physically taller and stronger than is scary stuff. (There were no consequences at all for this FYI.) Ultimately this ruined his character for me. Particularly seeing as he felt no remorse for what he did to those girls, until it happened to his girlfriend. I call up if it had been developed or actually focused on instead of brushed in under the carpet similar information technology was then possibly his grapheme development wouldn't feel so much like a charade.
My main result with this entire story though, is the fact that not once but twice Tsubaki nearly get raped. In both cases information technology was sexual harassment at the very least, and there was no real reaction maybe for a book, or in the case of the first fourth dimension, a page. Her reaction: She yelled at Kyouta she virtually got raped; he got mad (at the attempted rapists) they hugged and that was it. It was literally never mentioned once again! The 2d time was by Kyouta's ex-all-time friend, who funnily enough (please notation the sarcasm) concluded upwards as one of his best friends again and she talked to him all the time besides. Um What?? That doesn't happen, not ever! It was horrifying to read that, the terrible thing that is rape, is used and so trivially and callously; I was genuinely appalled.
Honestly there is more than, I could write a 3 thousand give-and-take essay on how toxic their human relationship is just this just makes me mad and sad. To ended I wouldn't recommend this at all. The message it sends is unconscionable.

I didn't quite understand the whole cutting his hair thing and him deciding then to want to engagement her but at the same time I wouldn't mind continuing on for a few volumes to come across where it goes.
I wasn't every bit into the artwork as well but perchance that's because it's but my second look at a manga comic after finishing off my lovely Blueish Spring Ride series, which I loved.
Off to showtime book 2.

Kyouta is a popular dude (similar always every manga have these kind of character). He is much intelligent than her. In the first twenty-four hours he made a bet on her that she will fall in #love with him. Nevertheless, information technology concluded up that he fall for her.
The start time they saw each other, they bullied Tsubaki she fifty-fifty cut his pilus and when he tried to punish her. He asked for l.000 YEN or she should repay him by her torso. She is so oblivious that she said yes thinking that he meant that she cut his pilus.
Oh Kyouta is also known for being a histrion.
This manga is one of my favorites now

I'm only near half dozen volumes in and then far I'm shocked that this hasn't been picked up by an English publisher. In a very tenuous mode it's similar to Kare Kano in that both of them are overachievers, the guy has a bunch of personal demons relating to his family unit, etc. I wouldn't say it's the same, but in that location'due south enough here to where I occasionally thought that this would appeal to readers of that serial.
Overall this is pretty nice. Art is good, story is expert- there is really a lot here that will appeal to a wide audition. Listen up English publishers: you demand to brand this available in the states!

I was curious to see where it went, simply I tin can't read any further because information technology makes me so mad. Because everything volition be swept aside considering the poor wittle 'hero' has a saaaaaad paaaaaaaast. Cry me a river. Did a adult female huuuuuuuuurt the wittle baby? OH ALRIGHT THEN. FEEL FREE TO MISTREAT ALL WOMEN!! THAT MAKES IT OKAY!!!!!
...yeah, he tin rot.
I liked the heroine well enough, but not enough to go on with THE DUMPSTER FIRE OF A Beloved Interest.
I don't recommend.

I sure promise young girls aren't seeing this as a salubrious human relationship because oh my god the dearest interest is actually molesting her, being forceful and constantly moving also fast for her condolement. The main grapheme is immature and weak and clumsy and horribly stupid, and the love interest is a total asshole (just it's okay considering he's pretty and has a 'tragic' backstory). But still the love interest is more bearable than the naive, annoying master character. What is up with this 'guy forces himself onto a daughter until she falls for him' trope? If anyone is reading this for dating tips or whatever, please treat this manga as more of a representation of what to Avert.
Why do I bother with shoujo manga anymore...
